This hybrid session marks the culmination of a multi-year collaboration advancing standardization in heterogeneous integration and smart manufacturing. Since 2023, the HiCONNECTS Standards Workshops at SEMICON Europa have united experts from across Europe to exchange insights, define priorities, and develop early recommendations for future European standards.

Led by Project Coordinator Ilan Englard, this closing workshop will feature leading voices from industry and research, including Paul Trio (SEMI), Andrea Sanfilippo (NXP), Wilko Baks (ASML), Doug Suerich (PEER Group Inc.), Daniele Pagano (STMicroelectronics), Dani Alon (CoreTigo), Vincent Martinez (NXP) and Juan Andres Torres (Siemens EDA).

The agenda will cover:

  • The HiCONNECTS standardization journey and demonstrator results

  • Cybersecurity and product security in heterogeneous integration

  • New standards for automotive radar sensors and wireless connectivity

  • Insights into advanced packaging, digital twins, and AI-driven manufacturing

Concluding remarks by Ilan Englard will emphasize the importance of continued collaboration between research and industry to sustain progress beyond the project’s lifetime.
