We had the pleasure of seeing HiCONNECTS featured at INSIDE Connect25 in Málaga.
In a presentation titled Situational Awareness Center for Forest Fire Rescue and Extinguishing Operations, Mikko Himanka, RDI Manager at Centria University of Applied Sciences, showcased Centria’s leading work within the HiCONNECTS project. His talk highlighted how situational awareness technologies are being developed to support forest fire rescue efforts – a crucial innovation for public safety and societal resilience.
Mikko’s presentation demonstrated how HiCONNECTS technologies can be applied beyond traditional semiconductor innovation, extending into life-saving applications where rapid decision-making and reliable data are vital. This work illustrates the project’s commitment to addressing real-world challenges and creating solutions with direct impact.
