Earlier this week, the HiCONNECTS consortium gathered at imec in Leuven for two days of collaboration, knowledge exchange, and progress updates as we are full speed into Year 2 of the project.

HiCONNECTS is tackling some of the most critical challenges at the intersection of connectivity, semiconductors, and digital infrastructure. From enabling energy-efficient cloud and edge computing, to advancing automotive radar and pioneering next-gen IoT data transmission for Highly Automated Driving (HAD) and smart mobility – our partners are charting a bold course for Europe’s tech future.

With a sharp focus on 5G/6G, RF technologies, and IT infrastructure, our work is helping lay the foundation for connected vehicles, smart cities, and the industries of tomorrow.

The review brought together over 60 partners for a packed agenda of presentations, working group sessions, and cross-consortium alignment. These discussions are vital for maintaining momentum across our work packages and ensuring that our shared goals remain firmly on track.

This was more than just a review meeting – it was another step forward in transforming Europe’s semiconductor and connectivity landscape. Stay tuned as we continue sharing insights, innovations, and outcomes from across the HiCONNECTS community.
