Three partners were officially inducted into the HiCONNECTS project at last week’s consortium meeting in Catania. These are Arbonaut, IMT Atlantique and Rakun Mobilite who were voted in unanimously as members.
Founded in 1994, Arbonaut create practical and customizable solutions particularly focusing on forest and decision support information systems, timber and forest ecosystems inventories, wildfire risk management, climate change, etc. Their mission is to contribute to the responsible use of forests through building digital twins of forest ecosystems that will lead to good forest management decisions. They will work with SOFTABILITY on the forest fire scenario use case.
IMT Atlantique is a higher education and research institute, created in January 2017. It has close links with the business world in terms of education, research and innovation and is ranked among the top 500 universities in the world (THE WUR 2024) and 44th in the world under 50 years old. They will work with STMicroelectronics Italy and Siemens EDA on the topic of data analytics.
Rakun Mobility is a spinoff from Ford Otosan, serving both private and business customers that seek innovative, light mobility solutions. All of their vehicles are designed and manufactured in Turkey. They will take over task activities related to AGV development and Work Package 5 leadership from Ford.
