A HiCONNECTS Standards Workshop was held at SEMICON Europa in Munich in November. This was led by Ilan Englard, the Coordinator for the project, who kicked off the meeting.
As well as Ilan, we are thankful to Emilie Jolivet from Yole Group, Alan Weber from Cimetrix Incorporated, Juan Andres Torres from Siemens Digital Industries Software and Daniele Pagano from STMicroelectronics Italia for providing their expertise.
The workshop was held in a hybrid fashion, with both in-person and online attendance, and this enables a wide discussion to take place on standards. This meeting was a prelude to a HiCONNECTS Standards Survey which will be distributed to stakeholders in the coming weeks.
This survey will focus on the beyond-state-of-the-art standard requirement for heterogeneous integration and smart manufacturing between metrology tools and semiconductor industries will be prepared. Based on the inputs and consensus of the semiconductor partners, recommendations on standards will be proposed to meet the challenging demands of BSOTA requirement for heterogenous integration and smart manufacturing.
